Democracy Works!

So now we have our President and I'm satisfied - the system works for 51% (or in this case 49.7%) of the electorate. Personally I'm glad Obama won because he can still be held responsible for the murder of four Americans in Benghazi. He just stated a week after the election (hmmmmm) that he was responsible for Susan Rice being the "network mouthpiece". So networks (including FNC), if you get Rubed by a shill, it's your own fault because everyone knows that the Whitehouse Crew is a bunch of Chicago thugs masquerading as our national government.
My more immediate concern is voiced by of all things a European newspaper....Czech on top of that. How's this for insight? It was translated into English from an article in the Prague newspaper Prager Zeitungont:

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the  necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president."

So I went to the 30th Sweetwater Cafe reunion for a nightclub in Redondo Beach. I saw some wonderful old friends I hadn't seen since 1987. All the musicians playing were headliners including Vince Gill and The Sweethearts of the Rodeo, altogether 5 hours of wonderful music from blues, bluegrass, country, and rock and roll.

My Iron Horse Stable

So I had gone to visit my daughter and her family having ridden my black Heritage Springer back to California and now I was in "Harleyville", York, PA with no ride in the beautiful fall.....
While cruising Ebay, what do you know, there was a white Heritage Springer which hadn't met the reserve. Long story short, we made a deal so I flew into Manchester, NH and he picked me up and I rode that one back to York. Now I have a ride on each coast and I only have to cruise locally.

The Pennsylvania Project

I have just returned from my daughters where the township mandated a sewer hookup. Granted the plumber was asked to not repair the yard that was dug up for 120 ft because the lawn was in need of repair anyway.
So Aleta got a new shed to replace the tree damaged one with one big enough to hold all the stuff in the garage and a grading contractor removed the clay, rocks, and weeds so the topsoil backfill would make the profile possible to use the riding lawnmower.

After the grading was completed a hydroseeding contractor came in a provided instant gratification. Fortunately the rains arrived two days later and then another week brought another deluge.

Atlas Shrugged part II coming

Taxes or Tithings

So we have the "Buffet Rule" where his capital gains taxes are lower than employee's income taxes. These complainers are comparing apples and pomgranates - de ain't the same!
And the redistribution artists want to tax the top 10% more.... ostensibly to make up for the bottom 47% not paying ANY taxes - WHAT?
Why should 47% of the nation's population not pay taxes? We are all in this 30 year loss of GDP abuse together.
